Gordy travels south to Dixie Land

Well folks, you don't need to call on Jesus...Gordy's A- O.K. He's been in the good hands of the Seligman-Pongkhamsing family. As evident on an earlier post...our little lady did indeed object to Gordy's grime & stench, so we took the liberty of giving him a proper bath. Gordy seems happier too with his newly cleaned clothes. With Gordy all spruced up, we invited him to join us on our epic 12 day journey to Tybee Island. Home of Marcus & Sandy Seligman.
Initially our host were perplexed with our surprise guest, but over the course of our stay Gordy's charm melted the hearts of the Seligmans, who were sad to see him go. Life in Dixie Land was easy on Gordy. He enjoyed long naps on the porch swing, walks on the beach, bike rides, and of course spent most his time playing dress up with Ruby, Sara, & Tillie. Gordon helped cook our Xmas day turkey, which turned out a bit dry, but no one seemed to mind. Gordon fell in love with my Aunt Carol, who appeared in Robert Palmer's simply irresistible video, but was too shy to pose for a picture. Something about her stark white face & red lips got to Gordy. I think our friend needs some lady love!
All in all Gordy loved his time in the south. He's been freezing his nads off here in blustery Seattle, so we've booked him a ticket to sunny Boulder, CO. WE sure will miss our little friend, but he's gotta ramble on.
bye bye Gordy & safe travels~ michelle, chan, and ruby brown

ruby says...

"I'm not touching that dirty old thing"

Is Gordy losing ground with the little ones? Perhaps he needs to think about going somewhere where people will take care of him - maybe give him some food once in a while, a good drink perhaps, or maybe even a bath?? Hummmm...

gordy gets in on the family picture

What can we say, Gordy HATES to miss out when it comes to a photo op!

Gordy in Seattle

After a month at "sea", good ole gordy arrives back in Seattle ready to party.

He got back just in time to spend Thanksgiving at the Davishahl residence. After stuffing himself on appetizers, Gordy went for a ride in the oven.

Get your gord on

Even though Gordy got to travel all summer throughout the wild west the life of Gordy Fishsticks was lacking in some fundamental way - Gordy hadn't been on a boat in years. That all changed the day he stowed away and traveled to Bellingham and got on board the S/V Dinah-Moe Humm.

All aboard. Cast off the lines, stroke the oars and hoist the main. Let's go sailing Gordy.

Gordon looks relaxed at sea doesn't he? A little too relaxed perhaps as Gordy fell overboard while we tacked!! You may be asking "is he ok?!?!?" You better watch the video!

Back to School

Now that school is back in session again, the question of the day is "how was your summer?"...

So, gordy, how WAS your summer?

His latest response: "I really enjoyed looking in the bag"

tsk tsk gordy...i'm not sure I like that type of behavior.

the mark of the deer!

At approximately 7:45 pm on July 30th, a deer trampled Eric while he was watching Nickel Creek make fools of themselves at the before-mentioned Rocky Grass Music Festival. NO JOKE folks! This really happened. Luckily for Eric (who now goes by Bleeding Antler), Gordy has been counseling him as his wounds heel.

a new game for the gordster

Matt spent hours teaching Gordy how to play Backgammon again (he once knew how but couldn't remember how to set up to board).

rockin out at rocky grass

Gordy had a fantastic time at this years Rocky Grass Music Festival!

Unfortunately, he couldn't get his tent setup correctly so he had to depend on the kindness of others to carry him through the weekend. He spent lots of time enjoying the Cha-Na and pulled a few all nighters with the jamming crowd.

swamp monster

Back with rebs and ash for a few days and neglected as usual, gordy was sucked up by the swamp monster (their version of AC). Luckily for rebs, she was able to rescue him from impending doom.

he boulders...

..his way to colorado (chill out rebs! gordy can't be rushed!)...

Gordy, working so hard to pull through the crux!! He falls a few times before making it to the top.

Bitch Creek

Following the epic climb of the Grand Teton, Gordon passes out (it was brief) and then downs a serious amount of Bitch Creek. He feels great but his legs are weary.

Gordon Climbs the Grand Teton!!

Following the wedding festivities, Gordon heads back out on the road again. He huffed and puffed and somehow made it to the top of the Grand Teton. This is no small feat my friends!! HAIL GORDY!

buggy

My my gordy!!! Well, it is a damn good thing that we don't make you ride on the front of the van. Holy hell - those Idaho bugs were bad!!! Thanks for helping us clean up - good ole gordo.

sniff the napkin roll

Well, it's been a while and it's time to get you all caught up on the adventures of the fishstick lover.

So, it started with two wonderful weeks in Hawaii with J&J - enjoying island life is what gordy did best.

He spent lots of time just hanging out on top of the kitchen table eating, enjoying the ocean view and getting sniffed (he smells great).

One special night he had a bit too much cha-na and needed to hide beneath the napkin roll. He did such a great job hiding that we could barely find him!
